Our client is looking for a Functional Analyst, Digital Services Management
. This is a high-visibility contract role serving as the connective tissue between Business Units, IT Leadership, Vendor Management, Legal, Info Sec, Privacy, and Finance to ensure third‑party vendor portfolios remain operationally resilient, on budget, and aligned with strategic objectives.

Location: Greater Seattle Area, WA – Hybrid

Duration: 6 months (contract)

Compensation: $50 – $55 per hour.

Additional Compensation: This position is not eligible for bonus or incentive compensation.

Summary

This role blends vendor management, financial analysis, and executive reporting and dashboarding into one high‑impact position. The Functional Analyst will act as a central coordination point across diverse internal stakeholder groups and external vendors, translating complex financial, contractual, and operational data into clear, actionable insights for leadership. The ideal candidate thrives in fast‑paced, ambiguous environments and brings a strong mix of analytical rigor, communication skill, and contract management expertise.

This position includes on‑call responsibilities on a rotational basis, including availability for off‑hours, weekends, and holidays.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Business Units, IT Leadership, Vendor Management, Legal, Info Sec, Privacy, and Finance, ensuring alignment on vendor performance, financial priorities, and operational outcomes.
  • Develop complex multi‑year forecasts and cost plans; manage budgets and conduct rigorous forecast‑versus‑actuals and variance analyses across OpEx and Cap Ex spend in alignment with corporate accounting standards.
  • Identify financial risks before they become overages and reallocate funds across work streams as priorities shift; support budget planning, cost management, and accurate tracking for tax and audit purposes.
  • Partner with Vendor Management and stakeholders to draft, review, and manage vendor contracts including Master Service Agreements, Statements of Work, and Order Forms; drive ongoing value through negotiations, renewals, and compliance oversight.
  • Design and maintain executive‑level dashboards and presentations reflecting the state of digital services, vendor performance trends, and key operational metrics; present findings at monthly and quarterly business reviews.
  • Develop reports and dashboards in Service Now for the purpose of extraction, sharing, and stakeholder presentation.
  • Identify and document incident and problem trends related to vendor services; collaborate with stakeholders to determine root cause and define remediation or enhancement opportunities.
  • Manage the full Purchase Order lifecycle through corporate financial and procurement systems; ensure timely contract execution, accurate budgeting, and financial payment coordination.
  • Extract, format, and analyze data sets to identify anomalies and patterns; apply mathematical and statistical techniques to surface actionable insights and hidden value.
  • Define, capture, and validate IT requirements and other delivery artifacts; document and manage risks, issues, assumptions, and constraints impacting delivery efforts.
  • Develop and implement operational standards, processes, and procedures for new technology solutions to protect existing service commitments.
  • Participate in periodic audits for solutions, planning, and delivery functions.
  • Ensure timely, clear communication with appropriate stakeholders regarding high‑priority issues.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience analyzing data sets, deriving insights, and leveraging key data points to drive decision‑making.
  • Demonstrated experience in vendor contract management, including negotiating and managing supplier agreements and overseeing the full Purchase Order lifecycle.
