Responsibilities- Help AWS build the platform that will set the standard for cloud computing.
- Make difficult prioritization decisions, iterate and innovate, and think through large‑scale globally distributed systems problems.
- Maintain a 100% availability guarantee while providing advanced functionality.
- Act as a lead member of a growing team, involved in all aspects of the software development lifecycle and interacting with many other engineering teams across Amazon.
- Support service operations, investigate operational issues, work on service builds, and support customer cases.
- Identify problems before they happen, implement solutions that detect and prevent outages.
- High school or equivalent diploma, or A+ or CND (Certified Network Defender) or Network+ or Security+.
- 4+ years of highly scalable systems experience.
- Experience in compute and storage server architecture and design for large scale applications.
- Experience in managing or implementing system health, performance monitoring, capacity planning, or process improvement and automation.
- Understanding of functional programming concepts.
This position requires that the candidate selected must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance. The position further requires that, after start, the selected candidate obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph or commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work.
BenefitsWe offer a competitive salary range of 91,000 to 152,000 USD annually (Washington, Seattle).
