AWS is seeking an ADC Engineer to own and advance mission critical services in our Amazon Dedicated Clouds (ADC).
ResponsibilitiesOn a typical day, engineers dive deep to find the root cause of a customer issue, investigate why a metric is trending incorrectly, and discuss radical new approaches to automate operational processes. As a member of the team, you will troubleshoot and support operations, innovate to automate tasks, and manage defined projects by breaking work into milestones and feedback mechanisms. You will identify when implementations are not highly available or have defects, investigate systemic patterns, and resolve, mitigate, or escape operational concerns promptly.
The ADC DBS Relational team supports all RDS products and platforms in the ADC regions. Amazon RDS provides six familiar database engines:
Amazon Aurora, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MariaDB.
- High school or equivalent diploma, or A+, CND (Certified Network Defender), Network+, or Security+
- 1+ years of systems administration (Linux/Windows) experience
- Experience working with scripting languages like Python, Java, Perl, PHP, Ruby, Bash, or Shell
- Current, active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance
- 1+ years of cloud computing technologies experience
- 1+ years of networking and troubleshooting experience
- 1+ years of support procedures and methodologies for production computing environments
- Experience automating routine tasks

BenefitsThe base salary range for this position is $91,000 – $152,000 USD annually. Compensation includes sign‑on payments, restricted stock units (RSUs), and comprehensive benefits such as health, dental, vision, prescription, basic life & AD&D insurance, supplemental life plans, EAP, mental health support, medical advice line, flexible spending accounts, and parental leave.
