JD / ROLE QA Tester. This role will ensure the quality and integrity of the Google Navigation System. A flexible resource, working with different teams across multiple projects and platforms (iOS & Android Devices). Responsibilities include testing the Navigation system on mobile devices, emulators, simulators, and updating results in the client–provided tool. As part of the QA team, the tester will execute test cases, log bugs, track progress, and verify issue resolutions.

The role requires driving vehicles to test the on‑board navigation displayed in cars (preferred experience) and performing long‑distance (1000 km) drive testing once per quarter.

Will assist the leadership team in preparing metrics, tracking filed issues, reviewing and updating test cases. Requires knowledge of testing across various Android platforms, vehicle emulators and simulators, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to communicate progress and issues.

Requirements:

• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to perform vehicle testing (minimum 2 hrs daily).
• Strong test engineer skills, experience with iOS and Android testing on simulators/emulators.
• Knowledge of Android Studio, ADB commands, Unix commands.
• Ability to create reports, share findings with stakeholders.
• Excellent troubleshooting, debugging, bug‑reporting, and release‑cycle knowledge.
• Experience with native mobile application testing, UI, sanity, regression, functional, integration, accessibility, exploratory, and compatibility testing.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Experience on Mac or Linux machines is an advantage.
