Job Overview
As an Amazon Web Services (AWS) Senior Solutions Architect within the Strategic Accounts segment, you partner with our most valuable customers to design cloud architectures using AWS services. You help our customers solve business challenges such as rapidly releasing products/services to the market, building elastic, scalable, and cost‑optimized applications, and leveraging AWS to tap into new markets. You influence product direction, identify patterns that benefit industry segments, and drive innovation while enhancing your own knowledge.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with customers to design and architect cloud solutions that meet their business and technical needs.
- Help customers solve challenges related to rapid product roll‑out, scalability, and cost optimization.
- Engage product owners to influence product direction and help customers tap into new markets using AWS services.
- Identify industry‑wide patterns and trends that can be broadly applied across customers.
- Collaborate with AWS services, marketing, and professional services teams to execute customer strategies.
- Represent AWS to executive management and act as a trusted customer advocate.
- 8+ years of experience in technology domain areas such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics.
- 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting experience in applications or infrastructures.
- 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting experience in the software or Internet industries.
- 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture, or networking experience.
- Experience working with end‑user or developer communities.
- Experience architecting or operating solutions built on AWS.
- Experience in a technical role within a sales organization.
