RFID Store Operations Engineer, JWO Merchant Operations

As part of the AWS Applied AI Solutions organization, we aim to provide business applications that help millions of companies manage day-to-day operations. We blend vision with curiosity and Amazon’s real-world experience to build opinionated, turnkey solutions. JWO’s RFID technologies change how retail customers operate in-store and back-of-house. This role leads a program that works directly with retail customers and collaborates with product, engineering, and operations to define end-to-end RFID solutions that meet customer needs.
Responsibilities- Understand the business and operational needs and challenges of JWO RFID customers across current verticals.
- Stay current on the features, benefits, constraints, and limitations of JWO RFID products and tools.
- Provide RFID solutions for in-store and back-of-house needs with validated, quantitative before/after data.
- Adhere to, enforce, and improve store configuration and launch processes in partnership with sales and implementation teams.
- Identify gaps in JWO’s RFID product offering and escalate to the product team for short-term mitigations and long-term solutions.
- Present customer learnings, process improvements, program updates, and strategic roadmaps to senior leadership with strong written and verbal communication.
- Travel up to 25% based on business needs.
To be successful, you will rapidly learn the business and operational demands of customers and define RFID-based solutions that deliver demonstrable value. You will define and drive scalable processes and tools to ensure new customers receive the right solutions as the business grows, working with senior leaders across JWO and coordinating between sales and implementation teams to translate requirements into ready-to-deploy RFID solutions.

- Bachelor’s degree or higher in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics).
- 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Office products and applications.
- Experience in fast-paced, cross-functional environments.
- 5+ years optimizing designs, processes, and/or products in retail and/or engineering.
- Experience working directly with customers and delivering products/solutions with quantitative impact.
- Experience defining standardized processes and scalable software tools.
- Experience with Lean Management, Six Sigma, and related operations engineering tools.
- Experience building launch readiness frameworks, standard work, playbooks, and scalable deployment mechanisms across multiple sites.
- Experience in retail, operations, and/or business management.
- Experience building or using optimization software (system design, multi-step processes).

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Compensation includes sign-on payments and RSUs, and final compensation is based on experience, qualifications, and location.
