Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Technical Program Manager to lead company‑wide technically complex programs with high impact and urgency.

Are you execution‑oriented with attentive detail to driving platform enhancements and improvements across the technology?
As a Technical Program Manager, you will work closely with members of company‑wide business and engineering teams to define, streamline, design, and analyze data to build business requirements, and then work with engineering to articulate requirements, perform functional and technical data and system analysis, and drive engineering to implementation through all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). You will drive execution with a sense of urgency and technical depth, possess high collaborative skills, and influence and communicate effectively on many levels.
You will define, iterate, and improve operational excellence in a large organization, and have high exposure to various tech and business leaders depending on the focus of the initiative.
- Develop new tools and processes to support the strategic direction of the organization.
- Create and manage long‑term goals of the organization.
- Ensure goals are met in areas including customer satisfaction, safety, quality, and team member performance.
- Prioritize programs and activities in accordance with the mission and goals of the organization.
- Identify system needs and/or define processes to improve efficiency, enable reliability, and scalability.
- Speak the language of engineers and lead initiatives involving non‑functional requirements and platform‑level changes.
- Use deep analytical depth: be sharp with metrics, dive into data to identify gaps, prioritize effectively, and move with urgency in dynamic environments.
- Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of Strategic Technical Program Management experience.
- Experience in challenging problem solving, deep diving into issues, identifying root causes, and suggesting realistic solutions.
- Experience synthesizing information quickly, distilling key takeaways, and presenting insights to senior leadership.
- Experience working with large sets of structured and unstructured data and synthesizing into business insights.
- High standards and a bias toward action.
- Expert communication and interpersonal skills; must be able to run meetings and work streams with senior leadership across the company.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines, prioritize workload, and achieve effective results in fast‑paced and dynamic environments; effective multi‑tasking skills are vital.
- Leadership experience.
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. At Coupang, your base pay is one part of your total compensation. The base pay for this position ranges from $155,000 per year in our lowest geographic market to $267,000 per year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience.
