  • A Problem Solver: Using your IT savvy, you can a nswer Help/Service Desk user inquiries regardingcomputer software, hardware, and AV operations to resolve problems. You can assistothers by troubleshooting, installing, and performing minor repairs to hardware, software, AV or other peripheral equipment following design or installation specifications.
Your Primary Responsibilities
  • Answer Help/Service Desk user inquiries regardingcomputer software, hardware, and AV operations to resolve problems.
  • Troubleshoot, install, and perform minor repairs to hardware, software, AV or other peripheral equipment following design or installation specifications.
  • Maintain records of daily data communication transactions, problems and remedial actions taken, or installation activities.
  • Utilize the Help Desk software to respond to request tickets, assign tasks, and to elevate to other team members.
  • Set up equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, or appropriate software.
  • Maintain IT inventory for all hardware and software deployments.
  • Read technical manuals, confer with users, or conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems or to provide technical assistance and support.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to speak a language in addition to English.
  • A valid Washington State driver’s license.
  • Ability to pass Electric Cart Certification Test.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma, and training in vocational school, related on-the-job experience, or an associate’s degree in related field. Minimum of two(2) years' experience in the operation, design and setup of basic computer hardware and software.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills are required, including via email, phone, and other collaboration tools.
  • Organizational skills andstrongattention to detail.
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows, Android, iOS, platforms, as well as Microsoft Office 365 applications.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, investigate issues, and determine next steps.
  • Ability to work evening and weekend hours without direct supervision.
  • Commitment to the mission of the zoo and the institution’s Core Values.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.
