Sr. GenAI Strategist - Startups, Generative AI Innovation Center; AWS

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a senior business‑oriented technologist experienced in analytics, big data, machine learning, and generative artificial intelligence. The role supports startup customers to accelerate growth, achieve product‑market fit, and enhance business outcomes with advanced AI technologies.

• Bring alignment between startup founders, technical leaders, and business stakeholders, and help them explore generative AI possibilities, developing a roadmap that delivers business value with startup‑appropriate speed and capital efficiency.
• Serve as a senior thought leader within the team, mentoring junior strategists and shaping the overall startup engagement methodology.
• Discuss complex AI/ML business concepts with startup executives, VCs, and technical founders across stages from seed to growth.
• Engage various AWS teams, including applied scientists, solutions architects, business development, marketing, startup specialists, partners, and regional organizations.
• Drive strategic engagements with high‑potential startups from ideation through vision building, scoping, closure, and into delivery.
• Identify repeatable generative AI patterns across the startup portfolio and codify them into scalable programs and frameworks.
• Conduct workshop sessions to identify opportunities for business value with generative AI or machine learning, emphasizing rapid time‑to‑value.
• Build relationships with the VC and accelerator ecosystem to source and support AI‑native startups on AWS.

• 7+ years of cloud architecture and solution implementation experience.
• 6+ years of managing scientists or machine learning engineers.
• Experience working in or supporting sales, with preference for startup or high‑growth company contexts.
• Experience launching technical programs, projects, or related work that include big data, analytics, artificial intelligence, and machine learning.

• Experience communicating technical concepts to diverse audiences in pre‑sales environments.
• Experience presenting to both technical and non‑technical executive audiences.
• Direct experience working at, advising, or investing in startups, especially AI‑native or ML‑first companies.
