My Client is seeking a Network Operations Center (NOC) Engineer to join its 24x7 Network Operations Center team. This is a hybrid technical role supporting the monitoring, operation, automation, and incident response activities required to maintain critical enterprise infrastructure and transit technology services.

About the RoleThis position involves key responsibilities in server and infrastructure operations, network monitoring, software automation, and major incident response coordination.
Responsibilities- Server & Infrastructure Operations
- Monitor, maintain, and support enterprise server infrastructure in Windows and Linux environments.
- Perform routine health checks, patch validation, system maintenance, and operational support.
- Assist with virtualization platforms, storage systems, backup infrastructure, and cloud resources.
- Support infrastructure upgrades, deployments, and maintenance activities.
- Troubleshoot hardware, operating system, and infrastructure-related issues.
- Continuously monitor enterprise infrastructure using NOC monitoring platforms.
- Respond to infrastructure alerts and investigate performance degradation.
- Monitor network devices, servers, cloud services, storage, and applications.
- Analyze trends and proactively identify potential issues before service impact occurs.
- Maintain operational dashboards and monitoring thresholds.
- Escalate incidents following established operational procedures.
- Develop and maintain scripts to automate repetitive operational tasks.
- Support automation initiatives using Python, Power Shell, Bash, or Ansible.
- Improve monitoring capabilities and operational efficiency through automation.
- Assist with API integrations and infrastructure management tooling.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of operational processes and documentation.
- Participate in Major Incident (Sev1/Sev2) response activities.
- Coordinate communications between technical teams during critical incidents.
- Facilitate bridge calls and assist with incident documentation.
- Support root cause analysis and post-incident reviews.
- Participate in on-call rotation and operational readiness activities.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent professional experience may be substituted for formal education.
- Experience working in a Network Operations Center (NOC), Systems Operations Center (SOC), Infrastructure Operations, or Enterprise IT Operations environment.
- Experience monitoring enterprise infrastructure in a 24x7 operational environment.
- Experience troubleshooting server, network, or cloud infrastructure issues.
- Familiarity with enterprise monitoring and incident management tools.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in high-pressure operational environments.
- Knowledge of ITIL operational processes.
- Exposure to Blackrock3 IMS framework.
- Familiarity with FEMA Incident Command System (ICS).
- Experience participating in Sev1/Sev2 Major Incident Management.
- Experience working in transportation, public sector, or highly regulated environments.
- Experience with Dev Ops automation practices.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
