The Linux Administrator will be responsible for managing, maintaining, securing, and monitoring Linux-based servers and infrastructure. The role includes server installation and configuration, operating-system administration, patch management, performance monitoring, user and permission management, storage administration, backup management, and troubleshooting system issues. The administrator will work with development, security, networking, and infrastructure teams to maintain reliable production environments. Responsibilities may include writing shell scripts to automate repetitive administrative tasks, monitoring system resources, analyzing logs, resolving performance issues, implementing security controls, and supporting application deployments.
The successful candidate should have strong troubleshooting capabilities and an understanding of enterprise Linux environments, networking, virtualization, and security best practices.
