The IT Manager is responsible for leading the organization's infrastructure operations, including Linux and Windows server environments, enterprise networking, cloud technologies, cybersecurity, and IT support services. The role ensures high availability, performance, security, and scalability of IT systems while managing a team of system administrators, network engineers, and support personnel.
Key Responsibilities Infrastructure Management- Manage and maintain Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS) and Windows Server environments.
- Oversee virtualization platforms such as VMware and Hyper-V.
- Ensure system uptime, performance, capacity planning, and disaster recovery readiness.
- Lead server migrations, upgrades, and infrastructure modernization initiatives.
- Manage enterprise LAN, WAN, VPN, Wi-Fi, and Data Center networks.
- Configure and monitor routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and network security appliances.
- Monitor network performance, availability, throughput, and latency.
- Implement network security controls and compliance requirements. These responsibilities align with internal R&D IT networking support requirements.
- Develop and enforce IT security policies and standards.
- Manage vulnerability remediation, patch management, endpoint security, and access controls.
- Support audits and regulatory compliance initiatives (SOX, ISO 27001, NIST, etc.).
- Lead incident response and recovery activities.
- Lead System Administrators, Network Engineers, and Helpdesk teams.
- Conduct performance reviews, mentoring, and career development planning.
- Manage resource allocation, project priorities, and operational KPIs.
- Lead infrastructure refresh, cloud migration, and digital transformation projects.
- Manage hardware, software, telecom, and cloud service vendors.
- Develop budgets, forecasts, and IT roadmaps aligned with business goals.
- Track project milestones, risks, and deliverables.
- Monitor service availability and SLA compliance.
- Implement automation using Power Shell, Bash, Python, or Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
- Maintain infrastructure documentation, standards, and operating procedures.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
8+ years of IT Infrastructure experience.
3+ years leading infrastructure or operations teams.
Strong expertise in:
- Linux Administration (RHEL, Ubuntu)
- Windows Server Administration
- Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPO
- VMware vSphere / Hyper-V
- Enterprise Networking (Cisco, Aruba, Juniper)
- Firewalls and VPN Technologies
- Storage, Backup, Disaster Recovery
- Microsoft 365 and Azure/AWS
- Linux, Windows & Networking
