Senior Customer Engineer, Named

• Partner with Account Executives to lead technical discovery
• Build bespoke architectures and deliver product demonstrations and Proofs of Concept across Security, Networking, and Developer Platforms
• Lead or oversee technical onboarding and implementation
• Serve as the primary executive and engineering contact for customers
• Own discovery, demos, onboarding, technical health, risk, and expansion strategy with Account Executives
• Monitor customer health scores and telemetry to accelerate time-to-value and resolve integration bottlenecks
• Carry a variable quota tied to new business acquisition and/or account growth
• Drive platform adoption, revenue retention, and strategic cross-sell and up-sell opportunities
• Lead technical Quarterly Business Reviews for C-level executives
• Maintain trusted technical relationships through onboarding, maturity, renewal, and expansion
• Use AI agents and internal platforms to automate RFP/security questionnaire responses, sandbox provisioning, and telemetry monitoring

• Experience in a customer-facing technical role, such as Solutions Engineering, Customer Engineering, Sales Engineering, or Forward Deployed Engineering; years vary by leveling
• Broad technical expertise in web security, networking, routing, DNS, DDoS mitigation, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise architecture
• Proven experience in a quota-carrying or revenue-aligned environment
• Strong understanding of SaaS metrics, business value translation, and enterprise sales cycles
• Exceptional presentation and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to bridge technical implementation details and C-suite business strategy
• Cloudflare developer platform and AI ecosystem experience, including Workers AI, AI Gateway, and Vectorize, strongly preferred
• Prompt engineering, LLM orchestration, or RAG architecture experience strongly preferred
• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, or similar languages strongly preferred

Demonstrates expertise in customer-facing technical roles, with a strong focus on web security, networking, and cloud infrastructure. Proven ability to drive platform adoption and revenue growth through effective stakeholder management and technical presentations.
