Latin American Spanish Data/Language Specialist

We have an urgent requirement for a Latin American Spanish data/language specialist in either client office in Burlingame (Bay area) or Seattle/Redmond JD:
Early-career linguist focused on data collection, annotation, and analysis to support language technology development. Responsible for data quality control, documentation, and continuous learning of annotation tools and practices.

Languages:

Latin American Spanish

Skills:

• Data Annotation: Skilled in collecting and annotating Linguistic Data accurately.
• Linguistic Analysis: Ability to analyze Linguistic Data and ensure quality. Language
  - Latin American Spanish
• Organizational skills: Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain documentation.
• Annotation tools: Familiarity with at least one Data Annotation platform or tool.
• Continuous Learning: Willingness to learn new tools and Linguistic concepts.

Experience:

• Bachelor's degree + 1–2 years' experience or master's with relevant experience (internship, thesis)

Other experience (non-mandatory/ good to have):

• Familiarity with specific annotation standards or frameworks (e.g., Universal Dependencies).
• Experience with quality assurance methodologies in data annotation.
• Basic programming or scripting skills for data manipulation.
• Exposure with multilingual datasets or cross-linguistic annotation.
