The Opportunity with Mc Kinstry

We are seeking a Product Manager to own and evolve our Workday platform
. This role supports the vision, roadmap, and delivery of McKinstry’s Workday HR Technology products within the HR Corporate Service Unit (CSU). Owns product-management engagement for assigned Workday HCM and broader HR Technology work—translating stakeholder needs into prioritized, well-documented deliverables—while partnering with HR Tech leadership and integration partners to deliver reliable, business-aligned solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain LOB/CSU portfolio product roadmaps.
  • Maintain knowledge of LOB/CSU existing technology solution set and future needs,industry trends, and competitive threats.
  • Define enhancements and features with LOB/CSU stakeholders.
  • Manage product life cycle (including modifications, upgrades and maintenance) through end of life.
  • Develop and maintain business cases.
  • Produce well written documentation including Product Requirement Documents(PRD), user acceptance test plans and training material.
  • Create product deliverables such as wireframes, prototypes and specifications.
  • Partner with IT, consultants, and software vendors to specify, deliver, and maintain solutions and integrations.
  • Facilitate product design and user focus sessions.
  • Lead coordination and documentation of project activities including product introduction meetings, design review meetings, and user acceptance testing.
  • Lead training sessions to ensure user and LOB/CSU success.
  • Work with Technology Partners to successfully deliver projects including user stories, functional specifications, and testing.
  • Manage and follow-up on client requests.
  • Deliver accurate, high quality and timely results in product administrative support.
  • Contribute actively to LOB/CSU innovation by gathering and maintaining internal and external client insight.
  • Partner with LOB/CSUs, technology, and enterprise organizations to enable cross functional collaboration.
  • Serve as a steward of McKinstry technology solutions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
What You Need To Succeed at Mc Kinstry

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.

  • Hands-on experience with Workday HCM and related HR Technology modules (configuration, business processes, or integrations) strongly preferred; familiarity with the Workday semiannual release cycle a plus.
  • Experience gathering requirements, writing user stories/acceptance criteria, and coordinating user acceptance testing (UAT) in an HRIS or enterprise-systems environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft products including SharePoint, MS Project, and PowerBI aplus.
  • Previous experience in the A/E/C industry desired.
  • Project Management skills desired.
  • Product Management skills desired.
  • 3-5 years in Product Management or A/E/C industry technology solutions experience required.
  • Previous experience in a technology work environment a plus.
  • Knowledge of software development methodologies a plus.
  • Outstanding written/oral, organizational, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
