The Opportunity with Mc KinstryWe are currently seeking a Senior HRIS Administrator to support our technology and HR team in the Pacific Northwest. This role will be responsible for selecting, managing and updating Human Resources Information Systems, serving as a technical point-of-contact for HR. Additional responsibilities may include:
Systems Improvement
- Partners with HR Directors to analyze work process design and flow, improve processes, and leverage the return on technical capabilities. Ensures most efficient means of utilizing software to attain business results and recommends configuration changes for assigned software. Works collaboratively with IT to implement changes.
- Leads the design, selection, and implementation or modification of HR systems, applying change management experience to facilitate movement to new systems.
- Maintains awareness of current trends in HRIS with a focus on product and service development, delivery and support, and applying key technologies
Systems Management
- Builds project plans, ensures adherence to project schedules, maintains a systems orientation, and works effectively with peers to set technology priorities and conduct long-term planning.
- Performs daily and proactive maintenance utilization and monitoring of assigned technology systems. Ensures that system and processes issues are identified, routed appropriately and resolved in a timely manner.
- Ensures data integrity, tests system changes, and analyzes data flows for process improvement opportunities.
- Communicates between HR and the IT to resolve issues, plan updates, upgrades and system maintenance. Works collaboratively with IT and HR team members toward maximizing integration of various HR systems.
Reporting and Administration
- Provides reports and reporting capability for Human Resource team with a high
degree of accuracy. - Stays current with user needs and technology capabilities to maximize utilization and
effectiveness of solutions. - Trains new system users, including developing user procedures, guidelines, and documentation. Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in math, computer sciences, human resources or equivalent work experience required.
- Eight (8) years of experience in the Human Resources information technology field required.
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook required; working knowledge of SharePoint required.
- Experience in discovering, evaluating and implementing new HR technology required.
