As a Defense Litigation Attorney, your responsibilities will include:
- Managing all stages of litigation including trials, arbitrations, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
- Conducting legal research and drafting a wide range of legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, responses, and other case-related correspondence.
- Representing clients in court and arguing motions.
- Advising clients on their legal rights and obligations.
- Collaborating with legal staff and other attorneys to develop defense strategies.
- Negotiating with opposing counsel to achieve favorable case resolutions.
- Staying updated with changes in laws and regulations that may affect the firm’s clients.
- Maintaining the highest level of professional standards and ensuring strict client confidentiality.
- A Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
- A current license to practice law in the state.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a defense litigation attorney.
- Proficiency in case management software and other legal technologies.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- The ability to manage and prioritize multiple cases.
- A strong understanding of legal procedures and court rules.
- Proven experience in drafting and negotiating legal documents.
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
