Lether Law Group is looking for a highly‑motivated associate‑level attorney to join our insurance coverage and complex litigation practice. We are a local firm with a national practice looking for someone with a strong work ethic and a desire to work in a multifaceted, dynamic, and growing area of the law. Two or more years of insurance coverage and/or litigation experience is preferred.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following qualifications:
- Strong writing and analytical skills
- Experience with all aspects of civil litigation, including drafting and responding to discovery, motions practice, taking and defending depositions, and trial preparation
- Insurance coverage experience
- Proactive case management abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong research skills
- Must be licensed to practice in Washington
The duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Work with a legal team to manage cases from inception to closure
- Draft pleadings, motions, correspondence, and settlement agreements
- Legal analysis of case law, statutes, regulations, fact patterns, and policy language
- Review and analysis of documents including claims files, correspondence, pleadings, and documents produced in discovery
- Prepare for, and attend or conduct, depositions, mediations, hearings, and meetings
- Communicate with clients, counsel, and experts
- Trial preparation
