Role Overview
- Serve as senior associate handling wage‑and‑hour, employment, and consumer cases in state and federal courts in Washington and California
- Lead and manage all phases of litigation, including strategy, pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation
- Draft and argue various legal motions and briefs in state and federal courts
- Take and defend depositions and prepare clients and witnesses for legal processes
- Conduct legal research and provide strategic analyses to team and clients
- Collaborate with legal team to efficiently manage cases and high‑volume litigation
- Communicate with clients, co‑counsel, and opposing parties and represent clients in legal matters
- Mentor junior attorneys and support staff, contributing to office development
Qualifications
- Must be licensed to practice law in California or Washington, or licensed in another state with pending admission to the California or Washington Bar
- 35+ years of civil litigation experience, with emphasis on discovery, motion practice, and depositions
- Experience with class actions, complex litigation, or employment cases preferred
- Strong written advocacy and analytical skills
- Ability to manage a busy caseload and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
- Professional work history with excellent client‑facing skills
- Willingness to travel for case‑related needs
