About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Senior Legal Counsel to join our team, initially in a temporary capacity with the exciting potential to transition into a full‑time position. In this critical role, you will oversee the entire contract lifecycle, encompassing drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various corporate agreements. Your expertise will be vital in supporting our grant programs, ensuring adherence to government contracts and grant requirements.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Licensure to practice law and in good standing
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant corporate law experience, with non‑profit experience being highly regarded
- Strong knowledge of corporate governance and contract law
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Experience in lending and grant‑related litigation is a plus
This position requires the ability to work independently in a remote setting while effectively collaborating with both internal teams and external stakeholders, including paralegals and outside counsel. You will also manage insurance renewals and address risk management issues.
