Due to an unforeseen medical issue resulting in the loss of an associate attorney, our small law firm located in Tacoma, Washington is looking to add another Associate Attorney to join our Workers Compensation/Social Security team. This is a full-time on-site role. Our firm provides extensive paralegal support, and we promote a team environment. We are a non-billable firm that operates on a 37.5-hour work week and does not require attorneys to meet set quotas.

This is a litigation position which does require the ability to work independently and the ability to meet deadlines. The Associate Attorney will be responsible for providing legal representation to clients in a variety of areas, including workers compensation and social security disability. The Associate Attorney will attend administrative hearings at the Office of Disability Adjudication and Review for Social Security disability claims, and at the Board of Industrial Insurance Appeals for Workers Compensation claims.

In addition to administrative hearings, the Associate Attorney will also handle superior court trials, client meetings, draft documents, and conduct legal research. Our ideal candidate will have excellent research as well as legal writing skills, strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and a high attention to detail.
