About the Position:
We are seeking an analytical member focusing on Demand Planning to join our Supply Chain team. They will serve as the demand planning point of contact for assigned product categories, with the responsibility of operational forecasting used as inventory and production planning inputs. You will own, shape, and refine your demand plans based on insights from key product, channel, marketing, and sales teams.
Along with day-to-day operations, you will be supporting continuous improvement initiatives for automation/efficiency and establishing Collaborative Planning, Forecasting & Replenishment (CPFR) for the end-to-end supply chain.
Responsibilities
- Perform demand planning processes for designated product categories, which include:
o Generating 45+ week demand plans.
o Monitoring inventory levels, forecast accuracy, inventory turnovers, and aged inventory.
o Collaborating with other departments to optimize planning processes.
- Analyze trends and provide recommendations, insights, and early warnings related to forecasting, while adjusting forecasts promptly to prevent excess or shortage.
- Act as a liaison to facilitate periodic communication with headquarters in China and internal cross-functional teams, managing escalations regarding production allocation, delivery requirements, and inventory management.
- Respond to ad-hoc reporting requests from internal and external customers within a time-sensitive environment.
- Support the team in daily operations while actively seeking ways to improve processes and increase efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of relevant work experience in demand planning, forecasting, and/or supply chain planning.
- Prior experience in a consumer electronics manufacturer and/or retailer is highly preferred.
- Strong analytical and interpersonal/communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Proven ability to identify, analyze, and solve ambiguous problems independently, with exceptional attention to detail.
- Capable of performing work under time schedules and stress, including time-sensitive deadlines, intellectual challenges, occasional language barriers, and project management deadlines.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Experience with SAP ERP or similar business systems, as well as sales order management software applications.
