Global Supply Chain Lead Role

The Global Supply Chain Lead will own planning, procurement, logistics, inventory control, and supplier relationships for inputs, materials, and machinery. They will be responsible for understanding and negotiating the best price, availability, and logistics of every R&D and manufacturing-related part that goes into our products. They will know each component of our system down to the material level and be prepared to call upon this knowledge during value engineering and other strategic discussions.

The Global Supply Chain Lead will directly impact our cost of electricity by optimizing cost, while keeping quality high.

• Understand our product down to the material level and use that knowledge to guide material selection decisions alongside other members of technical staff.

• Devise and operate a procurement program that matches our size and scale

• Develop, negotiate, and source long-lead-time items and vendor relationships

• Maintain a holistic inventory of all equipment, suppliers, bills of material, and raw inputs

• Own logistics, transport and delivery timelines company wide. Ensure on-time delivery by any means necessary.

• Create and operate an import/export control framework

• 3–7 years experience in an operating role, leading complex projects

• Comfort and experience managing multi-million-dollar budgets

• Extensive history of favorable outcomes in complex negotiations

• Ability to navigate legal frameworks related to logistics and supply chain

• Background in managing business outcomes for technical projects

• Demonstrated mastery of details and documentation

• Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

• Industrial or Systems Engineering

• Operations Research / Supply Chain Management

• Mathematics, Statistics, or Actuarial Science

• Other STEM degrees
