Amazon Web Services (AWS) provides a highly reliable, scalable, and low‑cost cloud platform that powers thousands of businesses in over 190 countries. Our Infrastructure Supply Chain & Procurement (ISCaP) organization works to deliver precise solutions to source, build and maintain our socially responsible data center supply chains. In the AIS‑SC Storage team, the focus is on supply strategy for storage‑adjacent components such as UFS, CXL, switches, and networking storage gear.
This role owns supplier engagement/strategy, coordinates ramp and launch of new components, and drives AWS’s explosive growth.
- Conduct weekly alignment meetings with Storage Components suppliers to review supply forecasts, address constraints, and resolve timing and commitment gaps.
- Prepare weekly supply heat maps to identify potential shortages, quantify production impact, and deliver status updates to demand planning, finance, engineering, and service teams.
- Escalate critical supply constraints to senior management with root‑cause analysis and resolution timelines; develop and execute contingency plans for high‑risk scenarios.
- Prepare quarterly business reviews analyzing supplier performance metrics such as on‑time delivery, quality yields, and product mix flexibility.
- Negotiate yearly MOUs and supply agreements, define annual volume commitments, product mix allocations, and quarterly supply quantities to secure favorable terms.
- Partner with finance and accounting teams on budget allocation, purchase order placement, risk assessment, and supplier invoice reconciliation.
- Analyze quarterly S&OP forecasts, reconcile inventory and commitments, and develop regional supply distribution strategies across VMI hubs and ODMs.
- Execute weekly allocation decisions to distribute components, coordinate hub‑to‑hub transfers, and optimize utilization.
- Collaborate with service teams, engineering, and suppliers to qualify new platforms and establish multi‑sourcing strategies.
- Monitor rack integrator pull signals, adjust delivery schedules, investigate BOM discrepancies, and support quality issue investigations.
- Coordinate expedite requests during shortages, communicate supply constraints and commitments, and evaluate trade‑offs for optimal allocation priorities.
- 4+ years of procurement, supply chain, inventory management, contract management, lease administration or operations experience.
- 4+ years of relevant strategic sourcing, vendor negotiations, global contract management, process improvement, and operational/financial analysis.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Finance, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of program, project, product management, or leading a product implementation process (preferred).
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred).
- Experience in data centers, infrastructure service providers, or related technology companies (preferred).
Base salary range: $82,700.00 – $ annually. Compensation includes sign‑on payments, restricted stock units (RSUs), and a comprehensive benefits package covering health insurance, dental, vision, prescription, Basic Life & AD&D insurance, supplemental life plans, Employee Assistance Program, mental health support, medical advice line, flexible spending accounts, and adoption & surrogacy reimbursement. 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave are also offered.
