Key Job Responsibilities- Develop and implement comprehensive sourcing strategies for construction services
- Analyze market trends, supplier capabilities, and competitive landscapes
- Manage Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for Data Center Construction scopes with General Contractors, subcontractors, and construction material/equipment suppliers
- Negotiate contracts and manage supplier relationships to drive efficiency and performance
- Create robust metrics and accountability mechanisms for supplier performance
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align procurement strategies with business objectives
You'll tackle dynamic challenges that blend strategic planning, collaborative problem‑solving, and data‑driven decision‑making, engaging with cross‑functional teams, analyzing market trends, and developing innovative sourcing strategies that drive operational excellence.
You'll prioritize activities to support data center capacity availability and safety, focusing on high‑impact actions and working on projects both locally and globally.
Basic Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field
- 6+ years of related industry experience
- Experience practicing best‑in‑class procurement processes (category management, benchmarking, should‑cost models, RFX, reverse auction, contracting, etc.)
- Experience in negotiations with global suppliers with a proven track record in cost reduction
- 5+ years of data analysis using tools such as Excel, Pivot Tables, SQL, Tableau, or equivalent experience
- Experience in program, project, or product management, or leading product implementation
- 5+ years of relevant experience with construction services and material procurement
- Master's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field
- Experience in data centers, infrastructure service providers, or related technology companies
- Experience in procurement practices working with engineering, supply chain, and Tier 1 OEM partners
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities
- Experience interfacing directly with construction scopes through various stages of development and construction, coordinating with internal and external teams responsible for construction and commissioning/testing phases
- Familiarity with current engineering principles associated with Data Center Construction, Sustainability, etc.
