Sr. Global Supply Manager, AWS Power and Cooling Procurement and Supply Chain

AWS Infrastructure Services (AIS) owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We keep the cloud running by supporting all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain.

You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. • Develop, implement, and manage supply chain strategies on a global scale.
• Drive the strategic aspects of large complex cross‑functional projects.
• Develop and maintain supplier capacity modeling.
• Understand demand inputs and position supply to support unconstrained growth at AWS scale in both the short‑term and long‑term horizons.
• Engage with global supply chain counterparts to drive leading supply chain practices and initiatives.
• Drive innovation through the supply chain and influence industry practices.
• Develop analytical reports to deliver information to business partners and stakeholders that support improved decision making.
• Manage supplier lead times and drive them to meet AWS business requirements.
• Manage supplier performance and allocation of material to demands based on priority.
• Be a subject matter expert for the customers, technologies, and markets in which you engage.
• Manage cross‑functional projects against plans and objectives to meet commitments and goals.
• Identify and drive realization of opportunities for sustainable, scalable, relative advantage in your category.
• Requires travel up to 10% of the year.

• Analyze industry trends and evolving technology to proactively identify supply base opportunities to minimize risk, protect continuity of supply, and utilize industry developments that benefit Amazon.
• Identify and pursue opportunities to leverage and consolidate the supply base using system level tools and techniques.
• Understand forecasting, demand planning, material planning, and manufacturing processes to verify supply commitments.
• Manage supply buffers and allocation to shorten lead times and build resiliency into the supply chain without driving excess.
• Drive supplier improvement initiatives to continually lower risk and reduce lead times.
• Influence suppliers’ manufacturing processes, technology decisions, and policies in ways that are mutually beneficial and sustainable for both organizations.

• 2+ years of program, project, or product management, or leading product implementation experience.
• 6+ years of related industry experience.
• 8+ years of data analysis using tools such as Excel, Pivot Tables, SQL, Tableau, or equivalent.
• 8+ years of high‑volume manufacturing operations or sourcing environments experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with Continuous Improvement and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Experience in global supply chain management, managing cross‑functional teams in a fast‑paced consumer electronics product company.
• Experience in program, project or product management, or leading product implementation.
