Department Description

UW Medicine Supply Chain Management enhances patient care experience through operational and technical support and specialized expertise.

Position Highlights

The Inventory Control Coordinator manages inventory and logistics, conducts cycle counts, leads annual counts, requisitions replenishments, adjusts quantities, records discrepancies, maintains communication with supported customers, monitors supply usage, and disposes obsolete products. The coordinator implements the UW Medicine Supply Chain strategy under the Director, Program Operations.

Job Responsibilities
  • Account for assigned inventories to ensure continuous supply availability and optimal stock levels.
  • Maintain inventory systems, data accuracy, and reporting tools for supply chain operations, compliance, and decision making.
  • Act as liaison among Supply Chain, clinical, and procedural stakeholders to ensure clear communication and effective inventory support.
  • Support inventory‑related projects and continuous improvement initiatives aligned with UW Medicine Supply Chain strategy.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Business, or Logistics/Supply Chain Management.
  • Minimum 2 years of Supply Chain Management or Finance experience.
  • Experience in healthcare business operations and/or financial management in a healthcare setting.
  • Experience standardizing disparate processes.
  • Experience in process improvement methodology, change management, project management, and operational improvement.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Hourly pay range: $33.47 – $40.39.
  • Temporary position.
