Parts and Logistics Assistant

About the role

The Parts Assistantpositionisresponsible for providing support totheteambyassistingwithordering,receiving, stocking, and supplying parts.

What you'll do

• Assistwithmaintainingaccuraterecords of parts, including quantities, locations, and condition.
• Receive incomingpartsshipments,verify items against purchase orders, and properlystoringparts in designated locations.
• Prepare parts for use in maintenance or repair activities, ensuring they are properlyidentifiedand packaged for delivery.
• Assist with the process of ordering parts, including communicating with suppliers, tracking orders, and managing back orders.
• Supervises and coordinates the work of an assistant who supports daily duties.
• Maintains general cleanup, organization, and maintenance of the parts and staging areas.
• Maintain a clean driving record and able tooperatecompany vehicles.
• Maintain records of parts transactions, updating inventory databases, and potentiallyassistingwith other administrative duties within the parts department.
• Ensuring compliance with safety and security procedures related to handling and storage of parts, particularly in an industrial environment.
• Provide assistance toteam members who require parts, potentially includingidentifyingandlocatingparts, and providing information on availability and pricing.
• Other duties as assigned.

Experience and

Education Requirements:

• High school diploma or associate degree or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and inventory management effectively.
• Ensuringaccuratetracking and recording ofpartsinformation.
• Ability to lift and move parts, potentially requiring some physical exertion.
• Proficiencyininventory management software and other computer systems.
• Understanding different typesof parts and their applications is helpful, especially in specialized industrial settings.
• Experienceoperatinga forklift.

The pay range for this role is $33-37/hour.
