About the RoleWe are looking for a strategic, execution-oriented Senior Vice President to establish, scale, and lead our global Owner-Furnished, Contractor Installed (OFCI) procurement organization for our AI and accelerated computing data center pipeline. This is a high-impact executive role focused on sourcing and delivering the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) infrastructure that powers and cools next-generation GPU and AI clusters. You will build and lead a high-performing procurement team accountable for multi-million-dollar supplier negotiations, long-lead supply chain strategy for rack-density power and thermal equipment, on-time delivery to active construction sites, and full life-cycle contract management, including long-term maintenance, warranty, and operations support agreements for every equipment purchase.
WhatYou'll be Doing
- Own the global vision, strategy, and operating model for the OFCI procurement organization in support of an aggressive AI data center expansion roadmap.
- Partner closely with Construction, Design and Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Legal to ensure procurement strategies keep pace with evolving rack densities, project schedules, budget constraints, and operational standards.
- Develop and maintain vendor capacity reservations, multi-sourcing frameworks, and risk-mitigation strategies to address acute supply constraints for high-density power and liquid cooling equipment, including allocation competition among hyperscalers for the same constrained OEM capacity.
- Recruit, hire, mentor, and retain a world-class procurement team spanning category managers for power and cooling, vendor managers, supply chain logistics specialists, and contract negotiators.
- Establish the KPIs, vendor scorecards, standard operating procedures, and ethical sourcing standards that guide the department.
- Lead high-stakes commercial negotiations with major OEMs across the full AI data center MEP stack, including switch gear, transformers, generators, and UPS systems on the electrical side, and chillers, pumps, heat exchangers, dry coolers, coolant distribution units (CDUs), and piping and manifold assemblies on the mechanical side.
- Apply strategic sourcing frameworks, total cost of ownership models, and volume rebate structures to optimize capital and operational expenditure as facilities transition from air-cooled to hybrid and fully liquid-cooled designs.
- Manage end-to-end logistics so OFCI power and cooling equipment arrives at construction sites exactly when needed, preventing delays to GPU deployment and contractor claims.
- Coordinate closely with general contractors and mechanical and electrical trade contractors to ensure seamless handoff, installation, commissioning, and warranty activation for all owner-furnished gear, including coolant fill, leak testing, and system validation for liquid cooling loops.
- Negotiate comprehensive long-term operations, maintenance, and service level agreements along with extended warranty terms on every equipment purchase.
- Ensure Day 2 operational readiness, including spare parts availability, coolant replenishment, vendor response times, and preventative maintenance terms for CDUs and other liquid cooling assets, and transition these smoothly to the Data Center Operations team.
- Extensive leadership experience in procurement, supply chain, or strategic sourcing within hyperscale or AI data centers, critical infrastructure, energy, or large-scale commercial development.
- Deep working knowledge of AI data center MEP systems, including medium and low voltage power distribution, generators, and both air and liquid cooling technologies, along with OFCI delivery frameworks.
- A proven track record of…
