Job Summary
A well-established, employee-owned mechanical contracting organization in Seattle is hiring a Buyer/Purchasing Coordinator for a direct hire opportunity. This role is ideal for a purchasing, procurement, or buying professional who enjoys working with vendors, coordinating materials, supporting field operations, and keeping orders moving accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities- Issue purchase orders, subcontracts, and material orders for construction and mechanical project needs.
- Review, process, and match invoices to purchase orders, pricing documentation, and supporting records.
- Communicate with vendors, suppliers, subcontractors, warehouse teams, and field teams to coordinate orders and delivery schedules.
- Negotiate pricing, availability, and order terms while maintaining professional vendor relationships.
- Manage approved vendor lists, vendor credits, warranty items, and purchasing documentation.
- Support shipping, receiving, and inventory-related activities as needed.
- Pay: $58,000 to $72,000 per year, depending on experience.

- Process purchase orders, subcontracts, material orders, invoices, and vendor documentation.
- Coordinate pricing, availability, delivery schedules, and order follow-up with suppliers and internal teams.
- Support purchasing operations for construction, mechanical, HVAC, warehouse, or field service needs.
- Maintain accurate records and help ensure materials are ordered, received, and invoiced correctly.
- 3 or more years of experience in purchasing, procurement, buying, vendor coordination, or a related field.
- Experience processing invoices and matching invoices to purchase orders.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience working with vendors, subcontractors, suppliers, contractors, or construction-related partners.
- Strong organization, communication, follow-up, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, learn quickly, and contribute in a team-focused environment.
- Knowledge of HVAC parts, equipment, or mechanical systems.
- Experience with local manufacturers, distributors, contractors, electrical vendors, or construction-related suppliers.
- Degree or coursework in Business, Economics, Management, Purchasing, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Experience supporting purchasing within construction, mechanical contracting, commercial building, or field service environments.
