A maintenance mechanic is needed to perform routine tasks related to building and equipment maintenance, repair, and modification. The focus is on the repair of small appliances and general maintenance duties.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Specialized training in at least one field of maintenance
• Valid Washington state driver’s license with an insurable driving record

• Respond to work orders, perform maintenance repair tasks, and close work orders.
• Painting: Repair interior or exterior painting; replace caulking; prepare and paint units.
• Carpentry: Repair window trim, screens, blinds, and hardware; minor repairs to walls, stairs, floors, porches, sidewalks, fences; repair or replace interior doors; change locks; replace knobs and minor unit hardware.
• Plumbing: Repair or replace faucets, spouts, P-traps, dishwashers, shower heads; unplug toilets and drains.
• Electrical: Replace furnace filters, heat registers, low voltage thermostats; replace bulbs, outlet/switch covers, low voltage thermostats, light shades, fixtures; replace smoke detectors.
• Unit Vacate: Clear out, clean, paint, floor, wax floors; assist in eviction process as needed.
• Maintain inventory of materials needed to complete repairs.
• Perform inspections.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
