Overview
DSHS Lakeland Village Custodian 1 – perform heavy‑duty cleaning and maintain floors, including shampoo carpets, scrub, strip seal, and wax using industrial equipment. You will also perform routine custodial, housekeeping, and general maintenance functions to maintain cleanliness, safety, and care of Lakeland Village.
ScheduleSaturday & Sunday, 6:30am – 5pm. Opportunities performed on site at least three days a week may be eligible for an additional 5% premium pay in addition to the advertised salary.
What we're looking for- Ability to keep accurate janitorial records and documentation
- Knowledge of regulations and safety standards governing the cleaning of public facilities
- Experience with janitorial equipment and cleaning supplies including safety practices relative to the use of cleaning agents
- Ability to take direction and multitask, including when working independently
- Familiarity with principles and practices of janitorial maintenance
- Ability to use power equipment and chemicals
- Flexibility, as daily workflow may change to fit the needs of the facility
A valid Washington State Driver's license and a minimum age of 18.
