** Position Highlights
*** Lead security operations for UWMC-Montlake and UW Medicine Primary Care locations.
* Supervise and develop security staff, including shift supervisors and officers.
* Oversee training programs, compliance, and operational standards.
* Collaborate with leadership on strategic security initiatives and emergency planning.

Job Responsibilities
*** Manage day-to-day security operations for UWMC-Montlake and Primary Care, ensuring safe staffing levels and service excellence.
* Direct HR functions for security personnel, including hiring, evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
* Implement and maintain training programs (e.g., WELLE, Code Gray, Code Silver).
* Oversee equipment, scheduling, and compliance with UW Medicine standards.
* Act as adjutant for the Director in their absence and liaise with internal and external agencies.
** Minimum Qualifications
*** Bachelor's degree in Public Safety Administration, Security Management, Criminal Justice, Hospital Administration, Business, or a related field from an accredited university
* 4-5 years' relevant work experience to include* + security services/Public Safety leadership role in a healthcare environment or 2 years’ experience in law enforcement;  + Advance training or experience with technical elements including physical security systems;  + security operations;  + security protocols and training;  + and team supervision;  + demonstrated leadership in advancing best practices in a healthcare environment.

* An equivalent of education and experience will be considered except where legally required.
