Description
At JTM Construction, the Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing Critical Environment projects ranging in value from $400,000 to $20,000,000. The Project Manager is the primary point of contact, responsible for the financial success of the project, managing all aspects from estimating through project closeout. This position requires travel in the greater Seattle area depending on project needs. The full salary range for this position is $175,000 – $215,000, depending on direct professional experience and qualifications.
For this role, the CE Project Manager should have experience pursuing and managing Life Science and/or Healthcare construction projects and working in critical/clean and occupied environments. The individual must be professional, self‑motivated, with strong oral and written communication skills, dependable, and able to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment with strong organizational and problem‑solving skills.

Responsibilities- Act as primary point of contact for owner/clients
- Facilitate the preparation of owner/client contracts
- Prepare and negotiate all subcontracts
- Lead project estimates from concept to GMP
- Manage construction administration in accordance with the contract
- Ensure project notice requirements are met
- Oversee project procurement and alignment with schedule
- Implement change order process with clients and subcontractors
- Create monthly project forecast for review with the officer‑in‑charge
- Oversee monthly payment application process and ensure timely payment
- Track and review quantities for self‑performed labor scopes
- Oversee, train and mentor project engineers
- Create and assign project responsibilities, hold team members accountable
- Work with project superintendent to update schedule
- Collaborate with design team to mitigate design challenges
- Participate in Overall Project Safety
- Contribute to Company Committee

- Bachelor of Science in construction management, engineering, or architecture
- Minimum of ten (10) years of construction project management experience in Puget Sound region
- General knowledge of all scopes of work associated with commercial general construction
- Knowledge of working in critical/clean and occupied environments
- Ability to work with Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of P6, Vista, Autodesk, Plan Grid, and Blue Beam preferred
- Leadership skills with willingness to coach and lead by example
- Valid Washington State driver’s license with clean driving record
- Ability to pass pre‑employment drug screening and criminal background check
- Regular, predictable attendance is required
- Subject to frequent interruptions
- Must wear personal protective gear most of the day
- Must communicate information accurately and be able to exchange ideas
- Must remain in stationary position at a computer terminal for extended periods
- May work in proximity to loud equipment
- Must respond quickly to sounds
- Must move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces
- Must detect and respond to dangerous situations
Must work in cold environments and on concrete floors; occasionally outdoor weather
