As an Open Source & Standards Manager, you will develop, manage, and lead various aspects of open source and standards strategic programs and portfolios. You will serve as an IBM ambassador, promoting the creation and use of quality global standards and the growth of strategic open source initiatives. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Develop Strategic Programs:
Develop, manage, and lead various aspects of open source and standards strategic programs and portfolios, ensuring efforts are compliant with IBM intellectual property strategy and guidelines. - Collaborate with Stakeholders:
Collaborate internally within IBM and within Open Source and/or Standards organizations to negotiate consensus among stakeholders with conflicting agendas, driving innovation and interoperability necessary for global business. - Drive Business Growth:
Leverage business development, planning, and consultation capabilities to drive IBM's long-term revenue growth, applying analytical and creative problem‑solving techniques to anticipate possible market scenarios. - Promote IBM Interests:
Promote IBM's interests in open source and standards communities, ensuring alignment with IBM's intellectual property strategy and guidelines. - Ensure Compliance:
Ensure efforts are compliant with IBM intellectual property strategy, guidelines, and stewardship, both directly and indirectly.
- Open Source Strategy Development:
Experience with creating and managing strategic programs and portfolios for open source and standards initiatives, ensuring compliance with organizational intellectual property strategies and guidelines. - Stakeholder
Collaboration:
Experience in negotiating consensus among stakeholders with conflicting agendas, driving innovation and interoperability in a global business setting. - Business Growth Planning:
Experience with leveraging business development, planning, and consultation capabilities to drive long-term revenue growth, applying analytical and creative problem‑solving techniques. - Intellectual Property Management:
Experience with managing and employing intellectual property policies and practices, including knowledge of leading‑edge IP policies and their application in the industry. - Industry Standards Promotion:
Experience in promoting organizational interests in open source and standards communities, ensuring alignment with organizational intellectual property strategies and guidelines.
- Open Source Portfolio Management:
Experience with managing diverse open source and standards portfolios, ensuring strategic alignment and compliance with organizational intellectual property strategies and guidelines. - Global Standards Development:
Experience in contributing to the creation and promotion of quality global standards, driving innovation and interoperability in a global business setting. - IP Policy Analysis:
Experience with analyzing and applying leading‑edge intellectual property policies and practices, anticipating market scenarios and driving business growth.
