WORK SCHEDULE/CONDITIONS

This position is exempt from the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act, and is not eligible for overtime. Typical hours are Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm.

MISSION CRITICAL POSITION STATUS

This position has been designated Mission Critical. Unless otherwise directed by the County Executive, department director or agency head, all employees, regardless of designation, are expected to report to work or request leave during an emergency or inclement weather. TELEWORKING

REQUIREMENT

DCHS works in a hybrid model, with days in the office as well as telecommuting. The ratio of remote to onsite work will be dependent on business needs and is subject to change. The primary onsite location is the North Gate Exec Tower II at 9725 3rd Ave NE, Suite 300, Seattle, WA 98115, with some travel to Tukwila and field‑based work as needed.

Employees must reside in Washington state and within a reasonable distance to their King County worksite to respond to workplace reporting requirements.

JOB DUTIES
  • Lead, motivate, direct, and coordinate the onsite work of multidisciplinary staff, including social service professionals and administrative staff, to ensure clarity in priorities, workflow, and escalation pathways.
  • Provide daily operational leadership at KCVP service hubs to ensure continuity of service delivery and uphold trauma‑informed, culturally responsive practices.
  • Exercise delegated decision‑making authority to resolve service flow issues, client concerns, and operational challenges in real time.
  • Promote a safe and secure service environment, implementing behavioral and safety policies and coordinating with security and facilities partners to support risk prevention and crisis response.
  • Maintain accountability for customer experience outcomes, including wait‑time management, communication quality, and successful access to services and benefits.
  • Support a consistent operating model across all KCVP service hubs by implementing program policies, documentation standards, and staff training practices.
