OXARC has been providing welding and industrial supplies, as well as medical and specialty gases since 1968. OXARC is headquartered in Spokane, Washington with 22 stores in WA, OR.
Job SummaryDirect and supervise all activities of the branch. Implement all established Oxarc policies and procedures. Ensure customer needs are met through prompt and courteous service.
Duties Include- Manage the daily activities of the branch; bring cohesion to the team.
- Ensure compliance with all FDA requirements.
- Supervise branch personnel in all aspects of store operations: hiring, firing, performance management, merchandising, customer relations, counter catalogs, price sheets and sales literature, etc.
- Ensure store counter is adequately staffed during business hours.
- Manage and maintain proper levels of inventory.
- Establish sales goals for outside sales personnel. Call on prospective customers; solve customer problems/issues. Develop and deliver sales presentations in a professional and effective manner.
- Maintain up-to-date awareness of latest products and their applications, company activities, industry trends and government regulations.
- Ensure staff assists sales personnel whenever possible.
- Ensure store and display/demonstration areas are arranged to maximize sales. Keep all areas of store/branch neat, clean and orderly.
- 3-5 years industry experience preferred.
- 2-3 years management experience.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Ability to manage and motivate staff.
- Must be organized, have good reasoning skills, and time management skills.
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet use.
- Must pass drug screen and background check.
- Salary Range:
** The salary range represents the low and high end of the base salary for this position which is $70,000-$83,000 annually--DOE.
OXARC offers a competitive salary and benefit package – full time employees enjoy medical, dental, vision and prescription coverage with two deductible plans to choose from for employee and family, company paid life insurance ($50,000), 401(k) with company match, and employee discount. Paid time off includes 8 paid holidays per year, vacation is prorated based on hire date and employees are eligible to use vacation effective January after hire date, sick leave accrues at 1 hour for every 40 worked, jury duty (up to 30 days), and bereavement leave.
Clothing allowance program. Voluntary benefit options include life, and AD&D insurance. Employees are eligible for most benefits on the first of the month following 90 days of employment. However, some benefits have different qualifying periods. Medical, dental, vision and prescription insurance is effective on the 1st of the month following hire date.
