Shape How Data Drives Decisions Across King County! King County’s Department of Natural Resources and Parks (DNRP) is seeking a Performance Measurement Lead (Project/Program Manager IV) to build and lead a department-wide approach to performance measurement, data visualization, and business intelligence. This is a unique opportunity to create systems that put meaningful data into the hands of decision-makers and strengthen how we deliver services to communities across the region.
In this role, you’ll work across all four DNRP divisions to transform complex operational data into clear insights, helping leaders understand trends, identify opportunities, and improve outcomes. You’ll play a key role in telling DNRP’s story through data—supporting transparency, accountability, and equitable service delivery.
About the RoleAs the Performance Measurement Lead, you will design, build, and continuously improve DNRP’s performance measurement systems and reporting tools. You’ll serve as a strategic partner to division leaders and the Director’s Office, helping define what success looks like through meaningful key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensuring data is accessible, actionable, and aligned with organizational priorities.
This role is both technical and strategic. You will develop dashboards and reporting systems using tools like Power BI, while also leading conversations that help teams use data to inform decisions, improve operations, and address service gaps. You’ll collaborate with analysts, program staff, and leadership across a complex organization to standardize approaches, elevate insights, and strengthen a culture of data-informed decision-making.
A core part of this work includes applying an equity lens—analyzing data to identify disparities and partnering with teams to develop strategies that improve outcomes for communities most impacted by inequities.
About the TeamThis position sits within the Director’s Office Administrative Team, which provides leadership, coordination, and operational support across DNRP’s diverse portfolio of programs—from environmental protection and restoration to infrastructure and public services.
The team works at the center of the department, supporting executive leadership, coordinating across divisions, and ensuring that systems, processes, and information flow effectively. Team members are known for their ability to navigate complexity, solve problems creatively, and deliver high‑quality work in a fast‑paced environment.
