Job Title: Groundskeeper

Salary: $22 per hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00am-5:00pm

Job Overview

We’re looking for a talented groundskeeper who will be responsible for the meticulous upkeep of the grounds, amenities, building exteriors, leasing office, tour path, parking lots and other areas of the assigned property, with maximum marketing appeal and customer satisfaction in mind.

Responsibilities
  • Remove trash and other debris from office areas and property perimeter daily.
  • Assist in the preparation of market-ready units.
  • Pressure wash exterior buildings, sidewalks, etc.
  • Assist with property emergencies, such as snow removal, inclement weather, fires, floods.
  • Clean available apartments and/or model homes and common areas of the community as directed.
  • Address property maintenance concerns related to inclement weather.
  • Promote customer satisfaction by maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and curb appeal, interacting courteously and professionally with residents and prospective residents at all times.
  • Preserve and respect applicant and resident confidentiality.
  • Foster a positive, active and collaborative relationship with residents, other properties and associations.
  • Clearly and immediately report any maintenance and/or life safety issues identified while performing duties.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
Skills and Requirements
  • Valid driver's license, clean driving record and current auto insurance.
  • Ability to read, write and understand English.
  • Ability to use general office equipment.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
  • Ability to cope with and defuse situations involving angry or difficult people.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Professional appearance and compliance with uniform policy.
  • Compliance with all safety requirements.
  • Completion of Avenue5 Fair Housing, Diversity and Inclusion Training within first 30 days of employment.
  • Ability to shovel snow, apply ice melt and operate a commercial snow blower.
  • Passionate for meticulous curb appeal.
