Job Summary

The Risk Management Coordinator supports International Community Health Services’ enterprise-wide risk management, employee safety, policy management, and emergency preparedness programs. This role assists in identifying, assessing, and mitigating organizational risk through regular assessments, incident tracking, policy management, and staff training. Working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, the coordinator helps ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and accreditation standards, promotes a culture of safety and continuous improvement, and supports organizational readiness for emergencies.

The Risk Management Coordinator plays an integral role in analyzing trends, developing corrective action plans using lean strategies, and maintaining systems, documentation, and reporting that protect patients, employees, and the organization.

Core Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the policy management program, including maintaining the centralized policy repository, ensuring strict version control, and working with policy custodians to ensure they are trained and aware of their policy review cycles; escalates any issues or areas of improvement.
  • Coordinate the completion of the employee safety program goals, including updating and maintaining policies and procedures, tracking and reporting employee incidents, coordinating emergency evacuations, fire drills, and other employee safety activities.
  • Conduct regular employee training related to risk management, employee safety, emergency preparedness, and policy management programs.
  • Identify areas for improvement in the risk management, employee safety, emergency preparedness, and policy management programs.
  • Coordinate incident reporting daily; assist with investigating and resolution of incidents reported; escalates concerns to supervisor as necessary; prepares monthly reports to appropriate committees; identifies trends and opportunities for improvement; manages and maintains users, forms and reports in the software system.
  • Assist in responding and remediating as needed to social media reviews and including relevant management staff.
  • Use lean strategies to assist in the resolution or development of corrective action plans when potential risk is identified.
Qualifications
  • Education:

    Associate’s Degree required;
    Bachelor’s Degree preferred; may substitute two (2) years of relevant experience for the required degree.
  • Experience:

    Three (3) years' experience in risk management, patient safety, emergency management, and/or employee safety; may substitute two (2) years of relevant experience for the required degree.
