In this Project Manager role, you will be responsible for development and implementation of company processes, products and services involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on said deliverables. You will partner with cross-functional leadership teams to ensure all product support activities from project concept through production launch and end of life.
This position is a defined-term role, expected to be completed by the end of 2025.
Responsibilities- Lead cross-functional teams from concept through launch; through proper execution of design controls that includes an efficient transfer of new developed product from Global R&D to manufacturing and global marketing through the BSC defined PDLC processes to achieve project closure.
- Work closely with various disciplines within R&D and Marketing, Clinical, Quality, Regulatory, Manufacturing, and establish project plans and objectives.
- Estimate project levels of effort and resource requirements by using standard estimating techniques and tools, and by working with appropriate staff to understand scope of effort.
- Prepare project plans, schedules, and budgets by using project management tools such as Microsoft Project and by working with appropriate staff to understand tasks necessary to complete project.
- Direct project execution by assigning tasks, tracking project schedules, identifying risks, and developing and executing contingency plans.
- Consolidate inputs and requirements from cross‑functional teams to build schedule and establish processes.
- Communicate project status by preparing standard status reports, and by participating in departmental and customer project status update meetings.
- Resolve project issues by working with team members, project customers, and others as appropriate.
- Support process redesign by integrating customer needs with available IT solutions.
- Other miscellaneous duties and assist with special projects as requested/required.
- Demonstrated ability to plan and execute projects to successful completion in medical devices industry.
- Proficiency with project management tools (MS Project, JIRA, etc.) and a clear understanding of project management methodology.
- Fluency in creating work breakdown structures and managing project plans.
- Working knowledge of electro‑mechanical systems, familiar with firmware or software integration with systems integration, and digital applications.
- Strong verbal and written communication, proven ability to influence others, cross‑functional team interaction and driving on‑time results.
- 5+ years of cross‑functional management experience including project management.
- Track record of success leading large, cross‑functional, complex projects / programs.
- Strong planning, influencing, and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a Master’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Experience in the medical or regulated industries preferred.
