We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Project Manager to support and coordinate multiple research and evaluation projects from proposal development through project completion.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments, enjoys building systems and structure, and can effectively manage complex projects involving multiple stakeholders, consultants, and deliverables.

Position Overview

The Project Manager will serve as a central coordination hub across projects, supporting planning, execution, communication, documentation, and process improvement efforts. This individual will work closely with leadership, researchers, evaluators, and external partners to ensure projects remain on schedule, within scope, and aligned with organizational standards for quality, ethics, privacy, and data governance.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, strategic, comfortable working independently, and experienced in managing multiple priorities simultaneously.

What You'll DoProject Planning & Coordination
  • Manage multiple research and evaluation projects from initiation through final deliverables.
  • Assist with proposal development, scopes of work, staffing plans, budgets, and project work plans.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, timelines, Gantt charts, task trackers, and milestone plans.
  • Conduct task analysis to support project sequencing, resource planning, and workload forecasting.
  • Coordinate project activities across internal staff, consultants, and external partners.
Project Monitoring & Delivery
  • Monitor project progress and proactively identify risks, bottlenecks, and potential delays.
  • Implement mitigation strategies to keep projects on track and aligned with client expectations.
  • Track deliverables, milestones, and reporting requirements.
  • Support quality assurance processes for project deliverables, evaluation products, and data collection tools.
  • Ensure project documentation remains accurate, organized, and accessible.
Communication & Stakeholder Support
  • Facilitate weekly project meetings and prepare agendas, notes, and action items.
  • Support communication among project teams to maintain alignment on responsibilities and timelines.
  • Prepare status reports, updates, and project summaries for leadership and stakeholders.
  • Support onboarding and coordination of consultants, contractors, interns, and project contributors.
Systems & Process Improvement
  • Maintain project management systems, templates, workflows, and reporting tools.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, communication, and project management practices.
  • Support organizational efforts related to data governance, documentation standards, and knowledge management.
  • Ensure compliance with ethical guidelines, privacy requirements, confidentiality standards, and applicable policies.
What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, Public Administration, Business, Project Management, Research, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • 3+ years of project management experience in research, evaluation, consulting, nonprofit, academic, public sector, or related environments.
  • Demonstrated experience managing project timelines, work plans, deliverables, and stakeholder communications.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working with confidential information and supporting compliance, privacy, or ethical requirements.
  • Proficiency with project management tools such as , Airtable, Asana, Smartsheet, Click Up, or similar platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a related discipline.
  • Experience supporting research, evaluation, or data-driven initiatives.
  • Familiarity with community-based research, equity-centered evaluation, or public sector projects.
  • Experience developing proposals, reports, presentations, and client-facing materials.
  • Knowledge of data governance, performance measurement, or evaluation frameworks.
