Salary range is $133k to $245k with a midpoint of $189k. New hires typically receive between minimum and midpoint, however, we may go slightly higher based on experience, internal equity and market.

GENERAL

PURPOSE:

This individual will, under general direction of the Project Director, be instrumental in ensuring the concurrent procurement and delivery of a continuous several hundred-million-dollar portfolio of highly technical electrical, fire alarm and associated State of Good Repair (SOGR) construction projects in our active transit operating environment.

Supervises and coordinates activities, and functions of the delivery team four sub team within the in the Capital Delivery Department (CDD) of Sound Transit. Provides electrical system constructability guidance to team members and consultants through the procurement, design, installation, testing, and commissioning phases. Plays a key role in the development and implementation of robust systems construction procedures and best practices that supports the program objectives.

Coordinates construction efforts with other divisions, departments, and outside agencies. Provides coaching and mentoring to direct reports and other staff.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Plans, directs, coordinates, and reviews the work of assigned staff; assigns work activities; provides constructive feedback; reviews and evaluates work and makes effective suggestions and recommendations.
  • Coaches, trains, and motivates staff; coordinates and/or provides staff training; manages employee relations; manages the workflow and prioritization of projects, measures the performance of the Systems Construction Management staff, and takes appropriate corrective action when necessary; develops developmental work plans for staff; implements or recommends corrective actions, discipline, and termination procedures as appropriate/necessary.
  • Assists the Director of Construction Support Services and project leadership to plan resource needs; leads hiring and on-boarding processes of assigned staff; supports hiring processes of matrixed staff; leads procurement processes for assigned consultant staff.
