Deputy Division Director

Join us as our next Deputy Division Director – and help shape the future of Finance & Business Operations!

Are you an innovative, people-centered leader who thrives on collaborating with teams to drive meaningful change? Do you champion continuous improvement, find ways to embed equity into the work, and love delivering exceptional service? If so, we'd be excited to meet you.

We're seeking a confident, collaborative leader who brings maturity, curiosity, and heart to their work. Someone who coaches, empowers, and develops talent—raising the bar for what's possible while demonstrating strong communication skills and the ability to discuss ideas openly, align quickly, and move forward together. We are looking for someone who can influence through trust and relationships rather than authority alone, and navigate complex environments with adaptability, agility, and clarity.

Our successful candidate will bring strong financial acumen with an understanding of government finance. Equally important is the ability to build and sustain relationships at all levels, internally and externally, creating alignment and momentum across diverse stakeholders. As a mature, thoughtful leader, this person will manage performance effectively and model steady, composed leadership during change and ambiguity.

The Director's Office supports and leads the Finance and Business Operations Division portfolio of countywide services, including treasury operations, procurement & payables, financial management, and small business support and pro-equity contracting. FBOD's vision "Count on Us" reflects the division's deep-seated commitment to customer success, equity, employee engagement, resource stewardship, and operational excellence. Our Leadership team is committed to creating and fostering a workplace where empathy, self-awareness and effective communication thrive.

The individual selected for this opportunity will join an innovative and progressive team that is redefining how we work as we transition to the department's hybrid environment.
