The Project Manager II (PMII) leads services activities for an assigned customer nationally or within a specific geographic area or scope of work to meet or exceed growth, profitability, and performance objectives. The PMII is typically responsible for projects with a combined annual profit in the range of $500K to $1M. This role ensures the execution of customer needs while delivering growth and profitable results through the forecast, analysis, and management of project budgets.

The Project Manager II hires and allocates resources for multiple programs and projects and leads Managers and Individual Contributors to ensure the progression of the project in accordance with both the customers’ and Smartlink’s goals.

• Champion Smartlink’s beliefs and values through everyday actions.
• Mandated – individually and as a team - usage of Smartlink systems to manage company workflow.
• Serve as a leader of people by managing company policies and procedures, setting goals and expectations, managing performance on a regular basis, communicating clearly, and leading with a bias towards creating a winning culture through active motivation and individual employee growth.
• Oversee awards, programs, projects, and tasks provided to a specific customer nationally or within a geographic area or scope of work to accomplish company goals and initiatives.
• Establish and maintain ongoing long-term relationships with customers and leverage existing relationships to create new business opportunities.
• Maintain clear understating of customer and subcontractor contracts, pay points, and invoicing systems.
• Develop clear and detailed project plans that are feasible yet achievable and in accordance with Smartlink’s strategy and business goals.
• Work with team to maintain an accurate budget for each assigned project.
• Deliver consistent, profitable results tied to Smartlink’s financial calendar through the forecasting, analysis, and management of services project budgets.
• Interview and assess candidates and place personnel to maximize productivity.
• Develop project teams through tactical onboarding of new talent and development of internal talent; train internal disciplines to lead their sites consistent with Smartlink policy and procedure.
• Work closely with the internal executive team to develop business initiatives into clear objectives and concrete goals for the program teams.
