The Laboratory Engineer serves as a principal technical resource for CNC programming and machining operations, driving manufacturing excellence through advanced programming solutions and process optimization. This role requires comprehensive expertise in CNC operations, program development, and manufacturing process improvement.
Core FunctionsThe position encompasses end-to-end responsibility for CNC programming operations, from CAD file receipt through program optimization and implementation. The role requires close collaboration with machining teams, engineering staff, and operations management to enhance productivity and manufacturing efficiency.
Primary Responsibilities- Develop and optimize complex CNC programs utilizing Mastercam and advanced CAM platforms
- Execute program verification through Vericut simulation while maintaining rigorous revision control
- Design and implement efficient fixturing solutions and manufacturing processes
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives for machining operations
- Provide technical guidance on design modifications for enhanced manufacturability
- Maintain documentation standards and digital archives for programming operations
- Experience planning and maintaining lab facilities for optimal efficiency and creating new processes when necessary
- 8+ years of industrial maintenance experience
- Knowledge of CG techniques and technologies
- 4+ years of advanced CNC programming experience with proven expertise in multi-axis machining operations
- Demonstrated commitment to digital workflow standards and Manufacturing Execution System (MES) compliance protocols
- 6+ years of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) experience
- Experience working with the designs of complex automated material, handling equipment, packaging technologies, and systems including robotics and high-speed manufacturing
- Expert-level proficiency in VERICUT CNC simulation software for advanced toolpath verification and collision detection
- Proven track record implementing and optimizing Manufacturing Execution System (MES) workflows in high-mix production environments

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
