Our Seattle, WA facility is an integral part of our Beverage division, specializing in the creation of sweet syrups and sauce variations for Kerry customers and brands. This state‑of‑the‑art production site features advanced technology and a collaborative team environment, where employees are encouraged to support one another's success. As a Maintenance Technician you’ll have a direct impact on the safety of our teams, safety of our products and growing our business. Your responsibilities will include increasing efficiency, reducing breakdowns, and extending the life of equipment. Familiarity with various production floor concepts, practices, and procedures will help you plan and accomplish goals using your experience and judgment. Collaborating with Kerry Group’s maintenance and engineering teams, you will implement the following:
- Preventative Maintenance Strategy: align with business goals for smooth operations.
- Root Cause Analysis: investigate breakdowns lasting over 4 hours and develop corrective actions.
- Proactive Issue Identification: use advanced tools to monitor equipment and identify issues early.
- Maintain, repair, and rebuild production machines and equipment.
- Assess problems and identify the most cost‑effective solutions.
- Troubleshoot pneumatics, rebuild valves/pumps, and set mechanical timing.
- Calibrate, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot instrumentation and equipment.
- Work with 3‑phase and high‑voltage electrical systems.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
High School diploma or equivalency required; industrial maintenance degree, welding certification, industrial electrical certification, Associate degree in a related field or completion of a Trades/Technical School program preferred.
- 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally beverage or chemical manufacturing.
- Proficient in electrical, mechanics, pneumatics, and hydraulics. Ability to read and interpret schematics and drawings.
- Practiced in safe work habits.
- Team player with enthusiasm, initiative, and pride in work well done.
- Self‑starter dedicated to continual quality improvement.
- Basic computer skills (MS Excel, Word, Outlook). SAP knowledge is helpful.
- Ability to work in hot, cold or wet environment (plant is temperature controlled and well ventilated).
The pay range for this position is $31.76 - $40.00 per hour. Kerry typically does not hire an individual at the top or near the top of the range, as we are a pay‑for‑performance company, and this range is set to continue to reward performance annually while in role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
The specific compensation offered to a candidate within the above range may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
