Venture Dynamics is actively seeking Marine Structural / Aluminum (MIG) Welders.
This position will perform Welding duties in all stages of repair and modernization of Vessels at the Vigor Shipyard in Seattle WA.
PAY IS $30.00 - $34.00/HR, DOE and $178 PER DIEM PER DAY FOR QUALIFIED TRAVELERS.
Contract Duration:
Starts July 6th and goes for 6-12+ months.
Day and swing shifts available.
Position OverviewThis role requires a proactive and detail-oriented professional to engage in Structural and Aluminum (MIG) Welder tasks, ensuring excellence in every aspect of the job.
Key Requirements- Completion of Marine OSHA 10 training is mandatory.
- Citizenship: U.S. Citizen with proof (Enhanced Driver License/ Real with Birth Certificate or U.S. Passport).
- Must be able to obtain a "DBIDS" Badge.
- Certifications:
Maritime OSHA 10 certification. - Experience:
Previous shipyard experience required. - Working Hours:
50-60 hours per week.
- Diverse shifts including 8-hour, 10-hour, and 12-hour shifts.
- Monday through Friday with overtime, and weekends as requested by client.
Venture Dynamics is seeking skilled Structural/Aluminum (MIG) Welders to join our team, specializing in NAVSEA welding projects within shipyards. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in MIG, Stick, and Fluxcore welding techniques to fabricate and assemble metal structures according to NAVSEA standards.
Experience in Shipfitting is a significant plus.
Key Responsibilities- Perform high-quality structural welding using MIG, Stick, and Flux Core techniques in accordance with NAVSEA standards.
- Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components in shipyard environments.
- Read and interpret weld symbols, blueprints, schematics, and job specifications.
- Ensure all welding tasks meet or exceed quality control standards and are ready for inspection.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure project specifications and deadlines are met.
- Conduct inspections of completed welds to ensure structural integrity and adherence to safety protocols.
- Proven experience in MIG, Stick, and Fluxcore welding techniques.
- Ability to pass NAVSEA welding certification tests.
- Strong ability to work from blueprints, schematics, and specifications.
- Knowledge of safety practices and procedures in shipyard environments.
- Experience in Shipfitting is highly advantageous.
- Familiarity with welding inspection and quality assurance is beneficial.
