We are currently hiring a skilled Industrial Electrician to support operations in a high-demand manufacturing environment. This role reports to the Electrical Lead and Electrical Supervisor and plays a vital part in ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of production and auxiliary systems. The successful candidate will have strong experience in industrial automation, AC/DC motors and drives, and power distribution systems, along with the ability to troubleshoot and maintain complex electrical and mechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair complex electrical systems in a fast-paced industrial setting.
- Work with AC and DC motors, variable speed drives (VFDs), motor control systems, and power distribution equipment up to 4160V.
- Support automation systems, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and sensors.
- Perform inspections, preventative maintenance, and emergency repairs to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with team members across maintenance and production departments.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Uphold and enforce all company and regulatory safety procedures and housekeeping standards.
- Maintain production and auxiliary equipment in a professional, craftsman-like manner.
- 2+ years of relevant experience or formal training as an industrial electrician.
- Working knowledge of electrical theory and electrical safety.
- Ability to work safely under pressure in a high-stress, high-temperature environment.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Team-oriented with strong communication skills.
- 5+ years of industrial electrical experience in a heavy manufacturing environment.
- Experience with DC overhead cranes.
- Advanced troubleshooting and maintenance of AC/DC motor controls, VFDs, and motor control centers.
- Experience with PLC systems, including troubleshooting and basic programming.
- Familiarity with mechanical systems, including pneumatics, hydraulics, and basic welding.
- Journeyman Electrician License is a plus.
- Commitment to personal and team safety.
- Strong sense of accountability and initiative.
- Willingness to work overtime and respond to off-shift maintenance needs when necessary.
