Quickparts is hiring a Urethane Tooling Technician to build and repair silicone tooling for the cast urethane process. This is a hands‑on role where you will be deeply embedded in our operations – on the floor, working directly with equipment, and ensuring the highest quality in our tooling processes.
You will own the setup, creation, and repair of critical tooling, being a driving force behind the precision manufacturing systems that support our aerospace, medical, automotive, defense, and industrial customers.
Responsibilities- Build and repair silicone tooling for the cast urethane process
- Identify direction of pull on master patterns and prep master models to establish parting lines
- Operate woodworking equipment required to create parting boards
- Operate silicone dispensing equipment and maintain the equipment used in tooling
- Properly vent and gate parts during the tooling process
- Build tooling requiring multiple slides unassisted
- Repair any tooling issues that may arise
- Review files and pull dimensions using required CAD software (Magics)
- Adhere to all safety standards, wear required personal protective equipment, and report safety issues
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 3 years of woodworking and advanced tooling/casting experience preferred
- Experienced in the use of all woodworking equipment and hand tools
- Ability to review files and pull dimensions using required CAD software (Magics)
- Excellent communication, reading, and writing skills, with good comprehension
- Ability to perform required work unassisted
- Physical capability to stand, stoop, and bend for a minimum of 8 hours per day
- Manual dexterity sufficient to operate common manufacturing machinery and hand tools
- Ability to regularly lift up to 25 pounds, frequently lift up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds
